VIDEO: Dwayne Cox tells the story of the Sunrise Song
There was an elder whose grandson asked him why he has white hair.
He responded, “The reason you see my hair like this is because I stood looking at the sun every single morning when I stepped out. When our creator saw me doing this he gave me a gift - the way that my hair is white just like rabbit fur during winter.
That is what I was given a good life. This is the reason why you see my hair like this, always gazing at the sunrise, giving me light."
Events are organized at the local level. Look for posters with information in your community.
