Minnie Coonishish appointed Coordinator, Administrative Unit of Mistissini CMC
The Miyupimâtisîun department is pleased to welcome Minnie Coonishish as the new Administrative Coordinator of the Mistissini CMC.
Addressing health and social issues
Minnie has been the interim coordinator since May 2022. Previously, she served as a community organizer for the Mistissini CMC. In this capacity, she was responsible for mobilizing various groups/committees in the community to address health and social issues.
Minnie has 30 years of experience in finance and administration. Prior to joining the CBHSSJB, she held several management positions with the Cree Nation of Mistissini and the Oujé-Bougoumou Eenuch Association, among others. She holds a bachelor's degree in administration from Université du Québec en Abitibi Témiscamingue in Val d'Or and a Diploma in Business Accounting from Canadore College in North Bay.
Minnie took up her position on March 13.
