Brenda brings with her over a decade of experience in professional communications, having spearheaded numerous successful health campaigns and initiatives reflective of the Cree population. In her previous role at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services James Bay (CBHSSJB), Brenda demonstrated her ability to develop regional awareness campaigns and collaborate effectively on various projects.

With her extensive experience as a Communications Officer at Cree Human Resources Development, Brenda has adeptly executed communications plans and contributed to organizational rebranding efforts. Her strategic approach and creativity have consistently delivered impactful results.

Brenda is a graduate of Western University, where she earned a Digital Communications Certificate and a Communications and Public Relations Professional Certificate. She also holds a Business Marketing Diploma from George Brown College and has completed additional certifications in conflict resolution, financial management for non-profit organizations, and more.

As Coordinator of the Expertise and Advice team, Brenda will bring her wealth of experience to oversee projects, develop content aligning with organizational objectives, and contribute to the overall strategic planning of communications at CBHSSJB. 

Brenda will take up her position on May 6, 2024.
