Amélie Fortin appointed Chief Pharmacist of the CBHSSJB

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay is pleased to announce the nomination of Amélie Fortin as Chief Pharmacist, leading the regional Department of Pharmacy.

Amélie has extensive experience as a pharmacist with the CBHSSJB, most recently as the Pharmacist in Waskaganish.  

She will be supported by Pharmacists Guillaume Kuate Fotso in Chisasibi, and Pascale Lanthier-Labonté in Mistissini, and a regional team of pharmacy technical assistants working in every community in Eeyou Istchee. The Chief Pharmacist reports to the Director of Medical Affairs and Services (DMAS), Dr. François Charette. “We are confident that Amélie will help us continue to move our pharmaceutical activities ahead in all Eeyou Istchee,” stated Dr. Charette.  

Amélie Fortin will start her new functions as Chief Pharmacist on June 21, 2021. She will relocate to Chisasibi.
