Wiichihiituwin seeks clients’ cooperation to address high lodging demands
Wiichihiituwin is requesting the cooperation of its clients to face high lodging demands during this busy period of the year on both corridor of services in Val-d’Or and Montreal. The upcoming Grand Prix de Montreal and other major events in the corridor of Abitibi generally make it difficult to find vacant rooms.
The department expects clients scheduled for medical appointments in the next weeks on both corridor of services in Val-d’Or or in Montreal, and who have the option to be accommodated in a private home to inform their CMC ahead of time. By so doing, they will enable other clients in need to be accommodated.
Wiichihiituwin recalls that, in this particular situation, a reimbursement of incurred fees is possible as per the CNIHB Policy on transportation.
The department calls for the sense of responsibility of clients who will be lodged in a Boarding Home or in a hotel in Val-d’Or to check out as soon as their appointment is done. By so acting, they will help solve the issue of high demands in accommodation with less offers. In the same way, clients who are coming to Montreal or Val-d’or are requested to provide to their CMC relevant information about the confirmation of their appointments, the names of their escorts and means of transportation.
Additionally, clients travelling with Air Creebec are reminded to have their proof of vaccination handy before boarding. Clients who do not have the proof of vaccination will be denied access to the plane.
