Jean-Nicolas Chagnon - Assistant Director, Medical Affairs Physician Assistant
Dr François Prévost, Director of Medical Affairs and Services is pleased to welcome Jean-Nicolas Chagnon as the Assistant Director of Medical Affairs.
Jean-Nicolas has 23 years of experience as a medical technician, and Physician Assistant in the Canadian Armed Forces. He has developed a solid understanding of the medical field and its key players, as well as strong skills in human/material resource management, strategic and operational planning.
He joined the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay in November 2022, where he has served as a consultant.
Jean-Nicolas is a mobilizing leader with the ability to use his influence to lead high-performance teams, exceed expectations and develop individual potential.
His expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth arrival of Physician Assistants by supporting the introduction and implementation of this new role to the rest of the organization.
Jean-Nicolas holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies with a concentration in Medical Research and Health Services Management from the University of Nebraska, USA.
To expand his knowledge, Jean-Nicolas is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree at McGill University/HEC.
Jean-Nicolas took up his position on December 3, 2023.
