She later worked under Human Resources Development as an Administrative Technician, a position she held until her retirement on September 21, 2018.

Hilda

Hilda is remembered by her colleagues for her strong work ethic, sense of humor and organizational skills, she was also an outspoken advocate for patients’ rights especially those living off Eeyou Istchee but she will be remembered for inspiring many people living with Cancer; she created the first Women’s Support Group in Chisasibi, joined many marathon walks to support Cancer Research and was involved in many other activities. She is a beacon of light to those who are battling the same disease as her.

Fate whispers to the warrior, “You cannot withstand the storm” The warrior whispers back, “I am the storm”. Hilda endured and fought many battles in her lifetime, including loss and illness, but never lost her warrior spirit.

The CBHSSJB extends its condolences to Hilda’s son Marcel, her immediate family, and her former colleagues and many friends. Hilda will be greatly missed by many.
