What is it?

Clinical psychologists and therapists offer counselling and therapy to address a range of issues that can affect your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance. These issues can include stress, anxiety, fear, depression, addictions, grief, and identity issues, among others. 

Who is it for?

Psychology and therapy services are available for individuals, couples and families who need support in addressing mental health issues. 

Where is it offered?

Psychological and therapy services are offered at your local CMC. 

What is it like?

You will meet – as an individual, couple or family – with the psychologist or therapist. Then, after discussing your concerns with you, the psychologist or therapist will work with you to apply approaches to help you achieve wellness. 

Clinical psychologists can assess, diagnose and treat mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Therapists can help you cope with difficulties, reducing the symptoms of different mental health challenges.  

How long does it last?

Most appointments with psychologists or therapists are approximately one hour long. The number of appointments you will have varies according to your individual needs. 

How can I get this service?

To see a psychologist or therapist, you can make an appointment though your local CMC, or you can get a referral from a doctor, nurse, or other community worker.
