Summary

On September 25, World Pharmacists' Day, the CBHSSJB would like to acknowledge and celebrate our hard-working pharmacy team.

Pharmacists are an essential part of our health care team. Our clients can trust their professionalism and dedication. These are especially difficult times in which pharmacists are facing the combined challenges of the pandemic, the impact of medication shortages and a staffing crisis.

Despite these difficulties, our pharmacists and the pharmacy team are working hard to provide our clients with the best possible services across Eeyou Istchee. They are dedicated to implementing new, state-of-the-art technologies to better serve our clients.

We owe you our gratitude. Thank you!

Maryse Gionet

“Though there is a severe shortage of pharmacists throughout the province, the few pharmacists of the organization are more engaged than ever. Developing procedures that will ensure safe services, preparing the necessary structure to be able to provide tele-pharmacy services, creating referral documents to better support their assistants are only a few of their priorities at the moment.  I personally thank them for their dedication and perseverance, I wish them the best on World Pharmacists’ Day--a well-deserved recognition.”
