Irene Blacksmith, Coordinator - Administration Unit Waswanipi CMC
The Local Director of Waswanipi CMC is pleased to welcome Irene Blacksmith as the new Coordinator of Administration Unit.
Irene has been with the Cree Board of Health since 2021 as a Social Working at Robin’s Nest in Waswanipi. Prior to that, she held the position of school secretary at Willie J. Happyjack Memorial School in the same city.
Her professional experience has enabled her to demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills. In addition, she is results-oriented, self-directed, flexible, and able to multi-task.
Irene holds a Bachelor of Education in First Nation and Inuit Studies from McGill/CSB. She also previously completed diplomas in Event Management and Office Administration - Executive at Algonquin College in Ottawa.
Irene has been on assignment since the 30th of June.
