Dr François Prévost appointed Director, Medical Affairs and Services
The Medical Affairs and Services department is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr François Prévost as Director.

François worked as a physician for UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency, and at the Refugee Health Clinic, at the Jeffery Hale-Saint Brigid’s Hospital in Quebec City, from 2018 to present.
He has also worked as a physician in Nunavik for over 20 years. During this time, he was responsible for family medicine, including emergency medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics, promoting a transcultural approach, in a multidisciplinary setting with social workers, clinical nurses and midwives. He also served as Coroner, President of CPDPM and Chief of the Regional Department of General Medicine.
François combined these roles with that of Associate Professor of Medicine, Internship Supervisor, at McGill and Laval universities.
François holds a Doctorate in Medicine from l’Université de Montréal, specialized in Family Medicine. Throughout his career, he has focused on cross-cultural medicine and global health, working with multidisciplinary teams.
When not at work, François is a writer and director. He participated in "La Course Destination Monde" and the films “What Remains of Us” and “The Last Continent”.
Francois Prévost took up his position on January 23.
