Updated Code of Conduct at Wiichihiituwin “Effective May 1, 2026”

When clients come to Wiichihiituwin, they are far from home. Some stay for a few days, others for longer.  Many individuals are navigating meaningful and sometimes vulnerable moments in their health journey.

In these moments, the environment around them matters. A space that feels calm, safe, and respectful can make a real difference.

Wiichihiituwin is updating its Code of Conduct to support shared spaces where everyone can feel safe, respected, and at ease throughout their stay. Most clients and caregivers already contribute to this every day. This update builds on that shared understanding.

What this means for you

 When using Wiichihiituwin, we ask that everyone:

  • Treat one another with respect, kindness, and care;
  • Be mindful of others and keep shared spaces calm, safe, and welcoming;
  • Follow guidance from staff when it is offered.

To support a safe environment

  • Some behaviours are not accepted, such as aggression, harassment, or intimidation.
  • Clients may be responsible for costs related to any intentional damage, or theft of property.
  • Quiet hours must be respected to support rest and comfort for everyone.
  • Please be mindful of other clients who may be undergoing medical treatments or experiencing sensitive moments.
  •  Alcohol, drugs, and weapons are not allowed in Wiichihiituwin spaces.

These updates help create clear and shared expectations for everyone. Effective May 1, the changes will help ensure that clients, families and caregivers at Wiichihiituwin feel safe, respected, and supported.
