This week in Montreal, the Department of Professional Services and Quality Assurance (DPSQA) - Psychosocial offered its annual training to the much valued and needed Social Workers and Human Relations Officers of the CBHSSJB.
The training began with an opening ceremony presented by Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiiun, followed by “Bridging the Rivers” Cultural Safety and Trauma training with Psychologist Suzy Goodleaf. The focus of this year’s training is crisis intervention, postvention and wellness.
At the training, Executive Director Daniel St-Amour, Interim AED of Miyupimaatisiiun Michelle Gray and Director of Organizational Quality and Cultural Safety Julianna Matoush Snowboy presented Employee Appreciation Awards to frontline workers.
Chloe Nahas, Director, DPSQA – Psychosocial is building a strong and stable team that reflects Nishiiyuu values and empowers psychosocial workers in Eeyou Istchee. The team is excited to announce an Annual Community Worker Training in winter 2020.
