The CBHSSJB is pleased to announce the nomination of Francine Moses as the second and new Assistant Director of Youth Protection effective as of September 30, 2013. She will join the Director of Youth Protection, Robert Auclair. Through the Board of Directors' approved YP Action Plan, it was determined that a second Assistant DYP was required to fulfill the specific, varied and legal mandate of the DYP in youth protection intervention.
Francine joins the YP Regional Administration Team with great enthusiasm and readiness. She is committed and passionate in providing safety, security and development to children in need and at risk in Eeyou Istchee.
Francine is fluent in Cree, English and French and shares her knowledge through life lessons and experiences. She believes in the strength of people and their ability to heal and empower themselves and their families. She is a great beleiver in the the power of Cree values, beliefs and traditions as a source of strength and healing.
Francine believes in a teamwork approach to help her colleagues and has a heightened sensibility to assist families in need while encourageing them in their healing journies . Francine is a very approacheable person and shares her humour with her colleagues on lighter topics to boost morale.
Francine brings a wealth of knowledge at the frontline and secondline levels as a former NNADAP worker and more recently as a YP Team Leader in Eastmain. Francine has proven to be a valuable asset to the organization in times or emergency and crisis.
Francine will be trained and mentored for the next 24 months by Nicole Rioux, one of the YP Consultants who has over 30 years of experience in Youth Protection intervention.
