CBHSSJB welcomes Juliana Matoush-Snowboy as Coordinator of Mental Health

The CBHSSJB is happy to announce the hiring of Juliana Matoush-Snowboy to the position of Coordinator of the Regional Department of Mental Health/Maanuuhiikuu within Pimuhteheu Group. 

Juliana holds a B.A. in Psychology from Carleton University (2012). She comes to the position of Coordinator following two years as a program officer in Mental Health and six years as a program officer with Regional Public Health in Chisasibi. Juliana started her career in the dental field and was a Dental Hygienist in Chisasibi for four years.

Juliana his heading a team that includes the Indian Residential School support person Daisy Herodier, three PPROs, Admin Tech Tina Iserhoff, three staff psychologist/psychotherapists, and five nurses including former Interim Coordinator Mary Louise Snowboy. Juliana is passionate about using traditional approaches to healing and wellness and is seen as a natural helper among her peers and community. She provides cultural support and advice for Walking With Our Sisters Ottawa, Native Women in the Arts Toronto, Minnowashin Lodge Ottawa and is the cofounder and president of Strong Earth Alliance https://www.facebook.com/strongearthalliance.

Juliana speaks Cree, English and French.
