This is Bella M. Petawabano, Chair of the CBHSSJB. I would like to talk to you about the 2016 Eeyou/Eenou Regional General Assembly on Health and Social Services. The Assembly will take place in Waskaganish from April 12 to 14.
The theme of the Assembly is:
Mâmû â uwâyâyihtimihkw miyupimâtisîwin ishi nîshtâmihch
Planning The Future Of Miyupimaatisiiun Together
Delegates from each community in Eeyou Istchee will gather to help shape the future of health and social services for our people and our communities. Representatives from the Cree Nation Government, Cree entities, and other government partners will also take part.
The Assembly will witness the Ceremonial Blessing of the ground where the new Women’s Shelter in Waskaganish will be built.
