| Abstract | Kidney Disease is a very common problem in the Cree population. Diabetes is the cause of kidney failure in half of the Cree currently on dialysis in Chisasibi and Chibougamau. The study is going to look at patients who have kidney disease due to diabetes and try to answer the question why Aboriginal populations with diabetes are more at risk of kidney disease. Attached is a copy of the poster that was presented to the Canadian Society of Nephrology in Quebec City. |
