| Full Text | Maamuu Nakaahehtaau (together, we can prevent diabetes) is an initiative to mobilize communities around diabetes primary prevention (support for healthy lifestyles) in Eeyou Istchee, the Cree Territory of James Bay in northern Quebec. This is the final report of a 2-day strategic planning meeting organized by the Public Health Department of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay. The meeting aimed to draw on the experience and knowledge of a diverse group of people, including community leaders, frontline health workers, researchers and medical experts, to explore ideas that could contribute to the project’s success.
